Helping Kids Know and Follow Jesus with Joy, Wonder, and Confidence!

At Living Hope, we believe children are a vital part of our church family. Our mission is to partner with and equip parents to make disciples of their children — children who learn the truth, live like Jesus, and lead others to Christ.

Through safe, fun, and faith-building spaces, we help kids grow in their love for God, their understanding of His Word, and their relationships with others.

Safety & Wellness

We prioritize your child's safety:
  • All volunteers are screened, background checked, and trained under our Protection Policy.
  • Rooms and toys are sanitized regularly.
  • We maintain allergy awareness (snacks are pre-approved and posted).
  • If your child is feeling unwell, we kindly ask that you keep them with you until they're symptom-free.

Sunday School (JK - Gr. 5)

School-aged children (Preschool through Grade 5) start in the main service with their families for a time of worship. Partway through the service, kids are dismissed to their Sunday School classes for a time designed just for them!

  • Each class includes:
    • Bible teaching that's age-appropriate, engaging, and rooted in God's Word
    • Hands-on activities and crafts
    • Caring volunteers committed to helping kids grow as disciples of Jesus

Curriculum: We use The Gospel Project, which walks through the Bible chronologically to help kids see the big picture of God's story — and how every part points to Jesus!

Frequently Asked Questions

Wondering about something? We've got you covered!
What ages can come to Kids Ministry?
We welcome little ones from newborns through Grade 5!

Students in Grade 6 and up stay upstairs with their parents during the service. They're invited to join our Youth Group on Tuesday nights, and we provide clipboards with sermon notes (available near the parking lot entrance) to help tweens and teens follow along with the message.
Where do I check my kids in?
You'll find check-in kiosks at the parking lot entrance and just outside our nursery downstairs. If it's your first time, we'd love to meet you — just let us know!
Can I stay with my child if they’re nervous?
Of course! You’re welcome to stay with your child until they’re comfortable, or you’re welcome to keep them with you in the service if you prefer.
What do you teach on Sundays?
We use a curriculum called The Gospel Project, which walks kids through the big story of the Bible and shows how every part points to Jesus. Each class is designed to be developmentally appropriate, and over three years, we journey through the entire Bible — from Genesis to Revelation.
I'm a little nervous about leaving my child. How do you keep kids safe?
We understand that trusting someone with your child is a big deal. At Living Hope, every volunteer is carefully selected — adults must attend for at least six months, complete a background check, and be fully trained under our Protection Policy. Youth volunteers also meet all the same requirements, minus the background check.

Rooms, toys, and equipment are cleaned regularly, and we follow a secure check-in and check-out process to keep every child safe. We’re committed to creating a space where both you and your child can feel at ease.

What if my child has allergies?
We know allergies can be super scary — and we're here to help!

The best thing you can do is let us know. Please fill out our registration form and list any allergies under the "Medical Needs" section.

At check-in, your child's allergy information will print clearly on their name tag, and our volunteers are trained to double-check before offering any snacks.

Our facility is nut-aware: all of our Sunday school snacks are nut-free, and we adapt snack options to fit the allergy needs in each classroom. As a result, many of our classes are already nut-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free.

If your child has unique or additional allergy needs, please email our Children's Ministry Director — we'd be more than happy to work with you to create a plan that keeps your child safe.
What if my child has special needs?
We would love to support you and your family!

The best place to start is by filling out our registration form and reaching out to our Children's Ministry Director.
We know every child is unique, and a one-size-fits-all approach doesn't work. We'd love to connect with you personally to develop a plan that best supports your child's needs and helps your whole family feel welcomed, included, and able to get involved at Living Hope.
What happens if my child needs me during the service?
You’ll never be far if your child needs you!

If your child is in Nursery or Preschool, their security number will flash on the number boards in the sanctuary.
For children of any age, we'll also try to reach you by text. If we’re unable to connect by phone, one of our greeters will personally find you and bring you to your child — quickly and discreetly.
How can I get involved and help out?
We’d love that! You can apply to volunteer here, and we’ll walk you through the next steps.
