Missions

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

We have the privilege and responsibility to take the love and message of Christ into our world
with the ultimate goal of making disciples. This is something we do here in Canada and together with partners in
Rwanda, Turkey, Dominican Republic, and Japan.

Meet our Global Mission Partners

Rwanda

Jean and Zawadi Samvura
In November 2021, three elders from Living Hope visited Rwanda and met Jean Samvura, lead pastor of Harvest Bible Fellowship, Gisenyi. Living Hope is now beginning a partnership with Jean and Harvest Bible Fellowship Rwanda to support the work of church planting and pastor training in Africa.

Turkey

Living Hope Church has been supporting international workers in Turkey for more than 20 years. Over the years we have sent a number of short-term teams and built a strong relationship with our missionaries who minister through personal relationships in their company and neighbourhood. With the current economic and political climate, prayer support is a critical and strategic way for Living Hope to be involved with this mission field.

Dominican Republic

Rick & Tammie Romano
In 2012, The Romano family responded to God’s call on their lives, moving to Santiago, Dominican Republic. They work alongside local churches in development work including: Clean Water, Sustainable Agriculture, Vocational Training, and Medical. For more information visit the Mission Twenty-Five35 website.

Japan

Doug & Carol Woon
Having raised 3 children in Japan and now empty nesters, they have dedicated their lives to the Japanese people. The Woons ministry includes Mother’s Café, Girls and Boys clubs, Conversational English classes and Bible studies. They are involved in church plants in the Shiohama and Harumi areas of Tokyo and lead a team of international workers.

Simeon Trust

Darrell Young
The Charles Simeon Trust exists to promote the growth of the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world by training up the next generation of Biblical expositors. Darrell is primarily responsible for their Workshop portfolio in Asia.  He also serves as Pastor of Crossway Community Church in Canmore, Alberta.

Multiplied Impact

Gregg & Joanne Hinzelman
Gregg and Joanne Hinzelman serve with Multiplied Impact which exists to help leaders develop, and act on, a God sized Kingdom vision, leading to a global impact.  This will involve discipleship of men and women, equipping them for ministry, engaging them in ministry opportunities and encouraging them to give to kingdom efforts around the world and helping these leaders develop a strategic philanthropic plan to accelerate the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
