SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:

1. What stood out to you in this passage?

2. Herod pretended to be a follower of God but refused to give up his throne. What does it mean for Jesus to reign as your king? Which aspects of your life have been difficult to submit to his rule?

3. Herod’s scribes were passionate about religion but not a relationship with Jesus. Do you have a hunger for that relationship? How do you feed that hunger and how can we help feed one another?

4. What are some of the difficult things that you’ve had to deal with in your life? How does the reality of what you have in Christ help to give you lasting joy even in painful circumstances?

Spend some time praying for one another, that God would help you to experience his grace and presence this Christmas season.
