SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:
1. What stood out to you in this passage?
2. Being submissive to rulers and authorities starts with an attitude of respect and honour. Do you ever struggle with this? How do you speak about governing officials to other people? Do you pray for them faithfully?
3. Read Paul’s list of commands in verse 2. Which of these tends to be most difficult for you? Why do you think that is?
4. Paul reminds us of the good news of redemption in Christ (vv.4-7). What does he tell us about God and the gospel? How might these things help us to live out these commands in the world?
